Ocean City, a year-round destination, experiences its peak season in the summer when the island is full of visitors from near and far. The city’s population rises from about 16,000 in the off-season to about 125,000 during the summer.

Since its incorporation in 1897 when it established its current form of government, the town has grown and prospered into the nationally recognized summer destination it is today. It continues to improve its regional and national exposure by providing a family-friendly seaside resort with merchants that promote positive products and services.

The Ocean City Chamber of Commerce supports the needs of local businesses while encouraging and educating the area’s visitors. We serve as a hub for local businesses, year-round residents, and visitors. Our 500+ business members work in unison to keep Ocean City one of the top-rated shore towns in the country.

Because there are very few franchises, Ocean City is perfect for imaginative and entrepreneurial business-people. The Chamber supports all-sized businesses by providing resources, marketing, and networking solutions to help members generate business, maintain visibility, create contacts, and grow.

The Chamber will organize ribbon cutting ceremonies for new businesses and grand re-openings to help gain publicity for members.

The Chamber sponsors frequent seminars and workshops covering a variety of topics, such as marketing, computers, customer service, and financial planning.

Provide us with your flyer to email and we will send via Constant Contact to 80,000 people who subscribed to receive emails from us and are interested in Ocean City and our businesses. Our Blast Emails have a 23 to 35% open rate with an average 3% click through rate.

Put your message in front of more than 40,000 visitors per year with a professionally produced 2’x3′ framed color poster.
