Keeping your kids entertained on vacation with family-fun activities becomes increasingly more difficult the more integrated technology becomes in our lives. Sitting on a beach, playing in the waves and tossing a Frisbee back and forth just doesn't cut it anymore. However, we understand that going to the beach for vacation is a time-honored tradition you'd rather not break. That's why OCNJ has worked hard at creating kid-friendly activities away from the beach to keep the whole family entertained. One of the most popular activities in Ocean City, New Jersey is kid golfing.

The Course & View

The Ocean City Municipal Golf Course provides golfing for kids in OCNJ regardless of their age. This public 12-hole, par 3 golf course provides families with older children with a bit more of a challenge than the miniature golf courses in the area. Whether you are local or just visiting, this course is open to everyone, and memberships are available for frequent golfers.

The Rules & Regulations

While this course welcomes children of all ages, a parent or adult guardian must accompany those under the age of 12. Skill and experience are not necessary to enjoy this local golf course, so come as you are and learn along the way. Each player must also have their own golf bag and clubs. These, along with both handcarts and riding carts, can be rented at the golf course clubhouse for those players who do not have their own set.

The Location & Hours

For a family fun way to spend the day, head down to Bay Avenue and 26th Street, where you will find the Ocean City Municipal Golf Course amongst the bay area meadows. This scenic course is one of the most beautiful in the state of New Jersey and is conveniently open year round. As long as the weather is fair, you can find us waiting for you there. Summer hours are 6:00 AM until 7:00 PM, while winter hours are 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
