Legendary Swing Band to Join Ocean City Pops for Season Opener
WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OCEAN CITY 6/22/22
The Ocean City Pops Orchestra will open its 2022 summer season with a special show featuring the swing band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 26 at the Ocean City Music Pier.
After 28 years, 11 records and more than 3,000 live shows, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is still going strong in its efforts to promote and revitalize swing music. Taking inspiration from the creators of this uniquely American art form, the band’s original horn-infused music and legendary high-energy show introduces the genre to a new and younger generation, while remaining respectful of the music’s rich legacy.
The band will perform with the Ocean City Pops, which returns for a full season of concerts under the direction of Maestro Vince Lee.
Tickets for the show ($35-$45) are on sale now. Visit oceancityvacation.com/boxoffice, call 609-399-6111 or stop by City Hall, the Roy Gillian Welcome Center or the Music Pier Box Office.
