The Spotted Whale Celebrates Grand Re-Opening

OCEAN CITY, N.J. – Anne Pecora and her team at The Spotted Whale, along with the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, dignitaries and members of the business community, celebrated the official grand re-opening of the upscale shop on Friday, July 25.

The Spotted Whale, located at 944 Asbury Avenue, reopened in May after a complete remodel of the upscale coastal décor shop. Prior to the ceremony, customers browsed the shop, which is chock full of luxe home accessories and local gifts.

Then The Spotted Whale team, along with officials and members of shop owners, gathered for the event.

A special guest even made an appearance and brought some added excitement — the Phillie Phanatic.

When the Phanatic made his grand entrance, the crowd applauded. Then the ceremony began.

Michele Gillian, Executive Director of the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, spoke of the wonderful contributions by Anne and her team to the business community and thanked them for their investment in Ocean City.

The Cape May County Commissioners presented a proclamation to The Spotted Whale team.

Then Mayor Jay Gillian led the countdown for Anne to cut the ceremonial blue ribbon.
