OCEAN CITY, N.J. – Bob Idell Sr. owner of Dead End Bakehouse at 6th Street and Boardwalk, the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, dignitaries, and members of the business community gathered Tuesday, July 1, for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of Idell’s second bakery.
The other Dead End Bakehouse is located at 1050 Bay Avenue. Both shops feature fresh hand-rolled bagels, an array of spreads, a wide assortment of baked goods and coffee.
Michele Gillian, Executive Director of the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, congratulated Idell for opening a second eatery and thanked him for his investment and continued commitment to the business community.
“Our new location brings handcrafted bagels, bold cream cheese flavors, and creative sandwiches to the heart of “America’s Greatest Family Resort”. Built on the energy of the shore and the passion of local makers, Dead End Bakehouse is proud to be part of the Ocean City business community,” Idell said. “We’re here to serve locals, visitors, and early risers with something fresh, fun, and uniquely Jersey.”
Mayor Jay Gillian led the countdown, and Idell cut the bright red ribbon to the applause of family, friends, and dignitaries.
