JACKIE EVANCHO AND KATHERINE JENKINS TO PERFORM WITH POPS THIS SUMMER

Two popular performers will return this summer to perform with the Ocean City Pops. Jackie Evancho will participate in the Night in Venice boat parade on July 23, then return the following night as the featured guest of the Ocean City Pops Orchestra on July 24. Best-selling classical artist Katherine Jenkins joins the Pops on August 21.

Since she first dazzled television audiences at the age of 10 as a runner-up on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” Evancho has released a string of platinum and gold albums with sales of over 3 million. Along the way, she made history: the youngest solo platinum artist, youngest Top 5 debut artist ever in the U.K., the youngest person to give solo concert at Lincoln Center, among many other accolades. All seven of Jackie’s albums have hit No. 1 on the Billboard Classical chart.

Welsh superstar Katherine Jenkins was crowned last year as “The Biggest Selling Classical Artist of the Century” by Classic FM. She cemented that title with her 14th No. 1 album on the classical charts.

Both Evancho and Jenkins were hits in previous shows with the Ocean City Pops. Tickets for both shows will go on sale on Thursday, March 10. Both shows will be included in the season-ticket package for the Pops, which is on sale now for $375. Visit oceancityvacation.com/boxoffice or call 609-399-6111.
