First Day Shopping Extravaganza Welcome the New Year by shopping for tremendous bargains in Downtown Ocean City, Asbury Avenue from 6th Street to 14th Street.

First Day 5k Boardwalk Run Pre-register at ocnj.us/race-events or race day 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Music Pier.

First Day at The Beach 2 p.m. at the Music Pier. Join us for Ocean City’s first dip in the ocean for the New Year.

MLK National Day of Service Volunteers are invited to join others nationwide to honor Dr. King’s contributions. In Ocean City, citizens are asked to participate in a citywide cleanup from 9 a.m. to noon. Sign-up and supply distribution will take place at the Howard S. Stainton Senior Center.

Martin Luther King Jr Ceremony and Soul Food Lunch Noon at the Ocean City Tabernacle. This event will bring the community together to remember Dr. King through words, song and dance. The event will include community resources and a soul food lunch.
