🌟 MEDIA ADVISORY: Martin Luther King Jr. Day Ceremony – Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025 🌟
Join us on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 12:00 p.m. for a special ceremony at the Ocean City Tabernacle as we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This event will bring our community together through moving words, song, and dance.
🎤 Honoring Community Leaders:
Rev. Paul C. Jerkins (Shiloh Baptist Church)
Cathy DiMarco (Sunshine Foundation)
Ocean City Ecumenical Council Food Cupboard (in memory of Regina Ralston)
These individuals and organizations will receive the Martin Luther King Community Service Awards for their outstanding contributions to the Ocean City community.
🍽️ A complimentary soul food buffet luncheon will follow the ceremony.
✍️ We’ll also honor Ocean City Intermediate School students for their winning essays on the influence of Dr. King.
⏰ Volunteers Needed: On Monday, Jan. 20, honor Dr. King’s legacy by participating in the Day of Service with a citywide cleanup from 9 a.m. to noon. Meet us at the Ocean City Music Pier to sign up!
