LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, a highly entertaining show produced by the Ocean City Pops and Michael Hartman's Ocean City Theater Company, will be one of the highlights of the Halloween season. The play is a rock musical about a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood. It's a rock musical based on the 1986 hit movie. Hartman's stage sets will be sensational. Tickets are $12 for kids under 12 and $15 for adults, available by accessing www.ocnj.us or call 609-525-9300. The show is set for the Music Pier, Oct. 23-24 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 25 at 2 p.m.

Saturday & Sunday, October 24 & 25 - Shrivers' Taffytober Unhaunted Halloween Event, noon, A sweet and fun filled event for kids of all ages! Enjoy the Unhaunted Decor, walk thru a mini pumpkin patch where free facepainting and Trick or Treat Bags are offered for the kids. Then, have your picture taken with Mr. Taffy, the store mascot in costume or out. Look for coupon for free gift with purchase and in store sales.

Saturday & Sunday, October 24 & 25 - Free Hay Rides on Boardwalk, noon-4pm, Passengers may get on and off at 8th and 12th Streets. There will be free pumpkins, face painting and Trick or Treating.

Saturday, October 24 - Trick or Treat in the Downtown, noon-3pm from 6th to 11th Streets along Asbury Avenue at participating merchants.

Saturday, October 24 - Ocean City Humane Society's Fall Fest Alumni Day, 11am-3pm at 1 Shelter Road off Bay & Tennessee Ave, Canine Demonstrations plus carnival games, face painting, pumpkin decorating and a fire truck on site. Pies, cookies and cakes will be for sale along with wreaths and baskets. Pets are welcome but should be leashed.

Sunday, October 25 - Ocean City Dog Park names Dog of the Year, noon, on the Sun Deck of the Port O'Call, 15th and Boardwalk. (Enter at 15th and Wesley Ave.) There will be a HOWL-OWEEN Costume Contest at 12:30 p.m. All doggies in costume are invited to enter. A Silent Auction is also scheduled. In the event of rain, the program will be moved to the Pavilion area of the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace.

Wednesday, October 28 - Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce hosts Welcome Night, 6-8pm, at Ocean City Music Pier, admission is free and all area residents are welcome to attend. The event introduces new and current residents to community, civic, social organizations, community leaders, and civic officials as well as local businesses including restaurants, financial and insurance services, retail stores and medical facilities.
