DISNEY'S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL is coming to Ocean City. A one act adaptation of the popular musical is set for the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace, on Fri. Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Michael Hartman and Marcia Dunlap of the Ocean City Theatre Company will direct. This is the same duo that brought us 42nd St., The Wizard of Oz and a Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum this past summer. The live production features members of the company’s talented Junior Contingent including youth from Ocean City.

Tickets are $15, children under 12 are $10, available on line at www.ocnj.us or at City Hall Annex, 901 Asbury Ave., 609-525-9300 or at the door.

THE ANNUAL VETERANS’S DAY program is set for Tues., Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, 6th and Wesley Ave. In the event of rain or bad weather, the service will be held at the Tabernacle Auditorium across the street from the Park.

Jim Houck, Commander of the American Legion, Morvay-Miley Post 524 of Ocean City, will be guest speaker with Keith Hartzell, Ocean City Councilman.

Students from the Primary School Programs for Academic and Creative Enrichment will participate with a tribute to veterans. They will conclude their program with a song, Before You Go, by Bierstock/Melnick that expresses sincere thanks for all that veterans have done for this country.

REMINDER: FIRST NIGHT admissions are now on sale at Downtown Gillian’s, 833 B, Asbury Ave., diagonally across from City Hall, 609-391-0060. The price is the same as last year, $14. First Night features 60 entertainment programs at central locations with fireworks at midnight.
