Aug. 28: Michael Hartman has consistently produced outstanding shows for Ocean City. He has done it time and again with Bill Scheible and the Ocean City Pops Orchestra. This summer his Ocean City Theatre Company joined the Pops to present entertaining productions of Oklahoma! and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. They'll join forces again, Sept. 5, 7, 8 for Anything Goes at the Music Pier. This Saturday, Aug. 28, audiences can enjoy the work of the talented producer and choreographer when he showcases his Junior Company in The Magic of Broadway at the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace. There will be shows at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the Music Pier auditorium. Admission is $12 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Aug. 28: The Ruth Newman Shapiro Cancer and Heart Fund will host a 5K Run/Walk Sat., Aug. 28 starting at the Sports and Civic Center, 6th St. of boardwalk. There will also be a one mile children's run. Registration will be from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. with the race starting at 8 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers. Aug. 29: The Robin-Massie Steven Condy concert is set for the Tabernacle,5th and Wesley Ave., on August 29 at 7 p.m. These classically trained soloists will sing operatic delights, sacred classics and familiar songs. Sept. 3: The King and Queen of Plop: Folks will be dramatically dropping all over the 9th Street Beach on Fri., Sept. 3 at 11 a.m. They (and you could be included) will be participating in this resort's annual Fall Guy and Fall Gal Contest to welcome the new season. Contestants will be asked to fall theatrically in slow motion to the sands. The man and woman performing the most unusual renditions will be crowned "The King and Queen of Plop." After the winners are named, all contestants will hold hands and plop in mass in a display of good sportsmanship. Entry is free and prizes will be awarded. All participants will receive a Plopping Certificate to document that they were in the unique events. Registration starts 10:30 a.m. on the 9th St. Beach adjacent to the Music Pier. Entry is freeand prizes will be awarded.

Last Minute Reminder: The American Red Cross, Southern Shore Chapter, holds its 16th Annual Disaster Relief Radio-thon on Thurs., Aug. 26 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Music Pier. There will be live entertainment by recording artist Angelique, health screenings and more. The program will be simulcast by WIBBAGE 94.3 FM. The public is invited to the show. Ocean City Farmer's and Crafter's Market begins Wednesday, June 30th and runs every Wednesday through September 1st from 8am-1pm at 6th and Asbury. Jersey Fresh produce and hand made crafts.

Evenings Along Asbury - Open air artists, demonstrations, activities, music, outside dining, shopping and dining specials, free parking, 6th-11th Streets on Asbury, 5-8pm.

Historic Inn-to-Inn Tours begin Thursday, July 1st and run every Thursday through August. Tours begin at 2pm. Tickets are $13 per person. Trolley boards at the ticket booth at the corner of 7th and Central Ave beginning at 1:30pm. Tickets may be pre-purchased at the Ocean City Welcome Center at 16 East 9th Street.
