THE FERKO STRING BAND performs at the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace, Thurs., July 16 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12, available at the Pier Box Office, 609-525-9248.

Formed in 1923, the band has recorded an unprecedented 20 first place finishes in New Year’s Mummers competition. Ferko has notched three billboard hits, Alabama Jubilee, You Are My Sunshine and Four Leaf Clover. The band has appeared on national TV and in the movie Miracle on 34th Street. Today Ferko is as popular as ever playing around the world with over 90 members ranging in age from 15 to 80.

THE FABULOUS GREASE BAND, a perennial Ocean City favorite, returns to the Music Pier on Fri., July 17 for a 7:30 p.m. concert to benefit Ocean City Exchange Club Charities. This is always a lively show featuring an array of Golden Oldies. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under, available at the Music Pier Box, 525-9248.

HUGE CRAFT SHOW: On Sat., July 18, this resort will present one of the largest craft shows in the country. The entire sports and civic center as well as Carey Stadium will be transformed into a giant indoor-outdoor Art, Craft and Gourmet Food Festival. The event features leading artisans from throughout the East Coast who craft unique products and practical gifts. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. All proceeds from the show are donated to local charities. Admission $3. Children are free.

THE BABY PARADE BOOK IS IN!: Fred and Susan Miller’s book documenting the 100th Anniversary of Ocean City’s Baby Parade will be in book stores next week. The authors will be featured at a book signing Tues., July 21 and Thurs., July 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sun Rose Book Store, 8th and Asbury Ave. The 128 page illustrated book has been released by Arcadia Publishing Company, leading publisher of community books in the country.

DISNEY IN OCEAN CITY: For the children! Every Tuesday evening in July and through August 11, Disney Radio provides a great time for kids at the Children’s Pavilion, 11th and Boardwalk starting 6:30 p.m. There will be music, dancing, contests, prizes and giveaways. Don’t miss the Disney experience!

IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE is a special show by the Ocean City Repertory Theater held every Thursday in July and August at 1 p.m. at 908 Asbury Ave. The show illustrates how giving a mouse a cookie can trigger a lot of fun. Tickets are $5 at the door.

THE OCEAN CITY POPS presents Stephen Costello and Ailyn Perez in a new recital program that received rave reviews in London. The duo recently starred in acclaimed productions at the Academy of Music and Metropolitan Opera. GARY LEWIS AND THE PLAYBOYS, one of the most successful musical groups of the 60’s, entertain at the Music Pier, 8 p.m., Mon., July 20 as part of the Stockton Goes to the Beach Concert series.
