WHAT'S HAPPENING IN OCEAN CITY THIS WEEKEND

Saturday, April 25-26: Downtown Arts Celebration - 10am-2pm - features artwork by Ocean City and Upper Township students exhibited in Asbury Avenue stores. There will be free face painters, caricature artists and sidewalk chalk designs, music and more! From 10 am - noon, children can create their own artwork at the Fine Arts League, 608 Asbury Ave. There will also be merchant sidewalks sales and restaurant specials.

Sunday, April 26: Pastel Workshop - 2-4pm at the Fine Arts League. Cost is $5 and includes materials. For information call 609-398-4662.

Saturday, April 25: Choral Festival - 7pm - Ocean City Tabernacle - Over 100 singers will be featured in a Community Choir Festival hosted by the Ocean City Tabernacle, 5th and Wesley Ave. The program will also include individual choir performances. Admission is free. A free will offering will be accepted.

Saturday, April 25: City Wide Yard Sale - 8am-12pm -The City's annual City Wide Yard Sale is set at the Tabernacle grounds, 6th and Asbury Ave. and throughout the City from 8 a.m. till noon. Maps of City wide locations are now being distributed at the Chamber of Commerce Information Center, 16 E. 9th St., City Hall Annex, 901 Asbury Ave. and the day of the sale at the Tabernacle site.

Saturday, April 25: March of Dimes, March for the Babies - begins at the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace, goes to one end of the boardwalk and back, finishing at the Music Pier. For information, call 856-874-9050 or visit www.marchforbabies.org.

Saturday, April 25: Book Sale - 9am-3pm - Ocean City Free Public Library at their 15th and West Ave. location. Monday, April 27: Ocean City Exchange Club's Book of Golden Deeds Awards Dinner honoring Jay A. Gillian - 7pm - Flanders Banquet and Conference Center. Tuesday, April 28: Free Concert - 7pm - Ocean City Music Pier - The 70 piece University of Pittsburgh Symphonic Band will perform a program of marches, overtures and a variety of numbers for all ages.

BLOCK PARTY REMINDER: Our gala spring block party is set for Sat., May 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from 5th to 14th Sts. on Asbury Ave. There will be over 375 crafters, food vendors, entertainment including free pony rides and face painting for children at the Tabernacle grounds, a new car show and public service displays. There will be free parking in city lots and at the airport, 26th and Bay Ave., with free jitney service to and from the airport.
