Paid Family Leave Update

New Jersey has recently enacted a paid family leave benefit. This benefit WILL impact the way in which you run and staff your business. Beginning January 1, 2009, a payroll tax will be imposed upon your employees to pay for this benefit and, as of July 1, 2009, employees will be eligible for benefits under the new law. The new law provides eligible employees up to six weeks of paid benefits every 12 months.
