Veterans Smile Day

Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce is honored to announce that Saturday, November 3, 2018 is Veterans Smile Day when hundreds of volunteer dentists, assistants, and hygienists will treat the dental needs of our nation’s veterans.

Now in its seventh year, Veterans Smile Day, services Veterans who do not qualify for dental care through the Veterans Administration. Volunteers from more than 600 dental offices across the country, perform all aspects of dentistry, including x-rays, exams, cleanings, fillings, root canals, and extractions…all free of charge. It is their way of, “Serving those who’ve served”.

Local offices participating, on Saturday, November 3, 2018, from 9 A.M. until 2 P.M., include Brickworks Dental (609-625-0505) in Mays Landing and Marmora Family Dental (609-390-0111) in Upper Township. Deryck Pham D.D.S., was a Lieutenant in the US Navy, serving a tour as a combat dentist during Operation Iraqi Freedom on the ground in the deserts of Iraq.  After leaving the military and joining private practice, he had a new mission – to help his fellow veterans. That is how Veterans Smile Day, was born. Dr Pham and his team at the Veterans Smile Day Foundation are working towards a goal of having every veteran have a dental home.
