The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Roast on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Sandi Pointe. The event will begin with a social hour at 6 P.M. followed by dinner at 7 P.M. This year’s Roastee is retiring Executive Director of Shore's Health Foundation, Bill Elliott. The dinner is $50.00 per person. Mr. Elliott was responsible for the Hospital's fund raising, wellness, and auxiliary relations programs. He was in this position for 24 years.
Previously, he served as Public Relations Director for Atlantic Electric, Development Director for Stockton State College and Manager of Public Relations for the City of Atlantic City. Mr. Elliott started his career as News Director for WMID radio in Atlantic City, where he won the 1973 Golden Microphone Award for outstanding broadcast of the year from the Press Club of Atlantic City. He was also the recipient of the 2008 Public Service Award by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for his work through the Hero Campaign to prevent drunk driving.
