Retired longtime Ocean City High School teachers Ida Margolis and Ginny Mulford have collaborated on a children's book "Carrots for Charlie". Ms. Mulford, the book's illustrator, will sign copies at Sun Rose Words and Music, located at 756 Asbury Avenue, on Wednesday, August 29, from 11 am to 1 pm.
Ms. Margolis, a retired psychology teacher at Ocean City High School, authored the book which talks about an overweight dog named Charlie. Charlie and his owner, Max, begin a routine of healthy eating and exercise to lose the weight.
Ms. Mulford is very active in the Ocean City Arts Community, having painted utility boxes downtown and is a board member of the Red and White Alumni committee.
"Carrots for Charlie" is available in paperback and costs $9.95.
