On Saturday, July 25th, Ocean City will celebrate its 55th Annual Night In Venice. The starting time will be 7:30 p.m.

We are very enthusiastic about this year's Parade. The optional theme is "Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Ocean City Baby Parade. This is an important event for Ocean City as we are the only community in the nation to have presented 100 Baby Parades.

Music that would go along with this theme includes You Must Have Been A Beautiful Baby, Baby Face, You've Come A Long Way Baby, etc.

A book documenting the100th Anniversary of the Baby Parade by Fred and Susan Miller will be released in July by Arcadia Publishing Co., one of the leading publishers of Community books in the country.

There will also be a special lead boat celebrating the world champion Philadelphia Phillies.

Cash prizes will be awarded to outstanding boats in the Parade. Boats judged the Best in Show will receive a cash prize. There will be non-cash awards for boats under and over 24 feet in the following categories: Best Decorated, Most Original, Musical, Comic, Children's Division (completely decorated by children 15 and under) and Classic Boat (25 years or older with historic value).

All who enter boats in the Parade will receive a commemorative mug celebrating the Baby Parades centennial at the Captain's Meeting.

We invite you to decorate your boat and enter it in our Parade on July 25th. We request that you pay special attention to lighted decorations. Spectators have noted that they can not always see performers on boats. Entry forms are available at City Hall Annex, 901 Asbury Ave. If you have any questions, please call Public Relations at City Hall Annex 609-525-9300.
