52nd Boardwalk Art Show August 1st, 2nd & 3rd
Ocean City--The Ocean City Arts Center will sponsor the 52nd Boardwalk Art Show, Friday through Sunday, August 1 through August 3. More than 60 artists from throughout the East Coast will sell two-dimensional art in the mediums of watercolor, acryclic, oil, drawings, hand-pulled prints and photography. The show will run on the Boardwalk from 8th to 11th streets, from 10 am to 8 pm, Friday and Saturday, and 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday.

Crabby Rice Will Sponsor Miss Crustacean, Aug. 6th
OCEAN CITY, N.J. --- “Crabby Rice,” will sponsor Ocean City’s Miss Crustacean Hermit Crab Beauty Pageant set for 1 p.m., Aug. 6th at the 6th St. Beach. The deal was sealed during a meeting between Mayor Jay Gillian and Emily Arentz, area marketing manager for Lundberg Family Farms, located in the Sacramento Valley of California.
Impressed? You should be. Lundberg has been farming rice and producing rice products since 1937. Now led by its third generation, Lundberg Family Farms uses “organic and eco positive farming practices to produce wholesome, healthful rice products while protecting and improving the environment.” Crabby Rice is its newest product.

Children's Summer Art Camps at Ocean City Arts Center
Call today to reserve your child's spot in one of 54 Summer Art Camps at the Ocean City Arts Center. Subjects are painting, drawing, cartooning, dance, pottery, sculpture, mosaics, music, guitar and more. Camps are 9 am to noon and 12:30 to 3:30 pm. Subjects change weekly and camps run Monday through Friday, from June 23 through August 29. Most camps are for ages 6 to 11.

Blue Eden, 811 Asbury Avenue, is a women’s specialty boutique. Ocean City, NJ Voted #1 Beach
Ocean City New Jersey was voted New Jersey's #1 Beach in the 2014 New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium and Richard Stockton College of New Jersey Coastal Research Center contest.
In addition to Best Beach, Ocean City won first place in the categories for Best Destination for Family Vacation, Day Trip and Ecotourism. This is the first time in the history of the contest that one town has swept first place in all of the categories.

Dan Skeldon to Act as Guest Bingo Caller at OC Education
Dan Skeldon, chief meteorologist on NBC40, will act as a guest bingo caller at The Ocean City Education Foundation’s Coach/Michael Kors Bingo being held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Somers Point VFW.
Doors will open at 6:00pm on April 11th with games beginning at 7:00pm. Ticket prices are $35 and include 16 games. A designer pocketbook will be awarded to the winner of each of the bingo games. New Chairman of the Board in Place for FCA Cape Atlantic
After a 15-year tenure as the Chairman of the Board for the local chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), John Shirk, managing partner at Fortress Financial, LLC, has decided to step down and allow an opportunity for others to lead. Andy Halliday, Sales Manager, McMahon Agency, Inc., transitioned into the Chairman’s role at the start of the New Year. “I am excited about the opportunity to serve as Chairman of the Board,” said Halliday. “We are anxious to continue the work of making an impact in our community that John started 15 years ago. OCEAN CITY, NJ - On Thursday, February 6th, the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce will install their new Board of Directors and Officers at Ocean City Yacht Club.
After 2 years of service, Brian Broadley (Broadley’s MDI) will step down as President and take the position of Immediate Past President on the Executive Board. William McMahon III (McMahon Agency) will be installed as the new President of the Chamber. Additional new officers will also be installed.

Philippine Consul’s Visit to OC to Discuss Conditions in Country & Aid Options
Consul Zaldy Patron from the Philippine Consulate General in New York visited Ocean City today to discuss conditions in the Philippines including Ocean City’s sister City, San Jose Occidental Mindoro. Additionally, he discussed on-going aid options and thanked Ocean City for its continuing concern and support.
