Dan Skeldon to Act as Guest Bingo Caller at OC Education
Dan Skeldon, chief meteorologist on NBC40, will act as a guest bingo caller at The Ocean City Education Foundation’s Coach/Michael Kors Bingo being held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Somers Point VFW.
Doors will open at 6:00pm on April 11th with games beginning at 7:00pm. Ticket prices are $35 and include 16 games. A designer pocketbook will be awarded to the winner of each of the bingo games. OC Chamber Salute to Working Women set for April 10th
OCEAN CITY, NEW JERSEY…… The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce announces that Cricket Frank, Corporate Vice President for OC Hotels and Property Management (T/A Impala Island Inn and Beach Club Hotel), will receive the 2014 Salute to Working Women Award and will be honored at the April 10th Chamber of Commerce Luncheon at the Ocean City Yacht Club. The award recognizes women in business for their outstanding professional and personal achievements.

New Chairman of the Board in Place for FCA Cape Atlantic
After a 15-year tenure as the Chairman of the Board for the local chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), John Shirk, managing partner at Fortress Financial, LLC, has decided to step down and allow an opportunity for others to lead. Andy Halliday, Sales Manager, McMahon Agency, Inc., transitioned into the Chairman’s role at the start of the New Year. “I am excited about the opportunity to serve as Chairman of the Board,” said Halliday. “We are anxious to continue the work of making an impact in our community that John started 15 years ago. We have an excellent staff to work with.”

Ocean City, NJ - The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce the grand opening of the new Goldcoast Sotheby’s International Realty offices located at 200 34th in Ocean City. Their location at 18th Street was damaged during Super Storm Sandy. They found temporary space on the 900 Block of West Avenue and now have completely remodeled and moved into their new 34th Street location. Goldcoast was founded in Ocean City, NJ in 1998 and has been associated with Sotheby’s since 2008. Officers and Board Members to be Installed to Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce
OCEAN CITY, NJ - On Thursday, February 6th, the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce will install their new Board of Directors and Officers at Ocean City Yacht Club.
After 2 years of service, Brian Broadley (Broadley’s MDI) will step down as President and take the position of Immediate Past President on the Executive Board. William McMahon III (McMahon Agency) will be installed as the new President of the Chamber. Additional new officers will also be installed.

Philippine Consul’s Visit to OC to Discuss Conditions in Country & Aid Options
Consul Zaldy Patron from the Philippine Consulate General in New York visited Ocean City today to discuss conditions in the Philippines including Ocean City’s sister City, San Jose Occidental Mindoro. Additionally, he discussed on-going aid options and thanked Ocean City for its continuing concern and support.

Albert Trots Off With Dog of Year Title
OCEAN CITY, N.J.—Albert, a sprightly English Springer Spaniel, was crowned Ocean City’s “Dog of the Year” during a ceremony at the Port O’ Call in Ocean City on Sunday. The award goes to the canine that has raised the most money for the Cape May County Dog Park in Ocean City.
Photos of the contestants were featured for months on the boardwalk and downtown locations and the public was invited to show its support with money votes. Albert was sponsored by Boyars Market and Berger Realty and likes to swim in the Ocean regardless of the temperature. He has accumulated quite a fan club and frequents local spots like Boyars where he is treated to liverwurst, milk bones and lots of love.
