Clean Ocean Action to Receiver $2,200 From Beach Badge Jewelry Sales

Henry’s Fine Jewelry, 1236 Boardwalk, has created an on-going program to benefit the important environmental work of Clean Ocean Action. This past summer, the popular Boardwalk Jewelers, created an “Ocean City Beach Badge Bracelet.” A percentage of the sales generated by this popular item is donated to COA.

Welcome Night

Meet Local Businesses, City and Local Officials and Numerous Organizations at “Welcome Night”

The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce is continuing their proud tradition of hosting “Welcome Night”.  This year, “Welcome Night” will be held on Wednesday, October 28th from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at its traditional venue at the Ocean City Music Pier.  Admission is free and all area residents are encouraged to attend.  Fabulous door prizes provided by local businesses will be given out throughout the evening.

OC Chamber to Roast GOCTC's Michael Hartman

The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Roast on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at The Flanders Hotel, 719 E. 11th Street, Ocean City, NJ.  The event will begin with a social at 6pm followed by dinner at 6:30pm.  This year’s Roastee is Greater Ocean City Theatre Company’s Michael Hartman. OC Board of Realtors Fall Golf Event to Benefit OC VFW Post 6650

The Ocean City Board of REALTORS® announces its Fall Golf Event, a fundraiser to benefit the Ocean City VFW Post 6650, at the Greate Bay Country Club, Egg Harbor Township, on Thursday, October 15, 2015.

Early Bird rate of $120 per golfer is available now through September 15th and after 9/15 the regular individual player rate is $140. The ticket price includes golf, lunch, dinner, and award/auction event. Registration starts at 11:00 a.m., the Shotgun Start is at 12:30 p.m. and dinner with an awards ceremony and silent auction is at 6:00 p.m. Dinner tickets are available for $50 per person.

Hermit Crab Beauty Pageant Set for Wednesday, August 5th

The Miss Crustacean Hermit Crab Beauty Pageant, an event eagerly awaited by crabs and their best friends alike, is set for 1 p.m., Wed., Aug. 5th at the 6th St. Beach.  Entry is free. Registration starts at noon on boardwalk between 5th and 6th Sts.

The contest is sanctioned by NASCRAB, the National Assn. of Crab Activities at the Beach, an Ocean City Organization. Several years ago OceanCity was contacted by Virginia Beach, Va. asking permission to run a similar event and was granted a franchise.

Past winners of Miss Crustacean include Crabopatra, an exotic Egyptian Crab, Copa Crabana, a sultry show girl crustacean, Crab Salad, Taxi Crab and Pirates of the Crabibbean.

Register Now for Ocean City Baby Parade

Registrations are now being taken for Ocean City’s 106th Baby Parade set for Thursday, August 13th  starting 5:30 p.m. Route is from 6th to 12 Sts. on the Boardwalk. It is the longest continuously running Baby Parade in the Country.

Photo engraver, Leo Bamberger, an organizer of Labor Day, founded the Parade in 1909. The event has featured many prominent grand marshals including baseball legend, Joe DiMaggio. Movie star Grace Kelley, a summer resident of Ocean City in her youth, was a big fan of the Parade.

Outrageous Rings Celebrates Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting

The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce that a ribbon cutting ceremony was held in honor of the grand opening of Ocean City’s newest business, Outrageous Rings, located at 1348 Boardwalk, in Ocean City, NJ. The ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Thursday, July 23, 2015.

10th Ocean City Fine Art & Handcraft Festival


When shoppers wander through the color bursting aisles of the huge Jersey Shore Artisans Guild fine art and handcraft festival on Saturday, July 18 they will see this sign prominently displayed in every booth:


Show producer JoAnne Schaut, Director of the Artisans Guild, explains that today many craft items are produced overseas and imported through wholesalers.  “That is not what we offer,” she explains.  “Not only must the items be handmade in America but they must be sold by the artisan who created them and can answer questions about every piece”

Ocean City, NJ Voted #1 Again in 2015!

Ocean City New Jersey was voted New Jersey's #1 Beach in the 2015 New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium and Richard Stockton College of New Jersey Coastal Research Center contest.

In addition to Best Beach, Ocean City won first place in the categories for Best Destination for Family Vacation, Day Trip and Ecotourism. This is the second year in a row Ocean City has swept first place in all of the categories.

Inn to Inn and Historic Tours

The Inn-to-Inn & Historic Tour presented by the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Bed and Breakfast Innkeepers of Ocean City are every Thursday in July and August from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.  Tickets are $14 per person, which includes transportation by trolley and a guided tour.

Humane Society of Ocean City Holds Golf Tournament

The Humane Society of Ocean City (HSOC) will hold its annual Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Harbor Pines Country Club in Egg Harbor Township. The Best Ball tournament on 18 holes will begin with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. Players must be signed in by 12:30 p.m.

Registration is $130.00 per golfer ($500.00/foursome) and includes course fees, lunch, dinner and musical entertainment by DJ Bill. Single entrants are welcome and may be assigned to a team based on availability.

Humane Society to Sponsor “Barks on the Boards” Fundraiser


The Humane Society of Ocean City (HSOC) will hold its annual “Barks on the Boards” event on Sunday, May 31, 2015 starting 10:00 a.m. at the Civic Center field, located at 6th and Boardwalk.

Registration and dog games run from 10:00 a.m. until noon with the walk starting at 12:00 p.m. Contests feature best dressed, largest dog, smallest dog, most talented, best tail wager, best puppy and highest fundraiser. Contest prizes will be awarded at 1:00 p.m.

Pre-registration is $25.00 per person until May 25th (dogs walk for free and must be leashed at all times), and registration at the event is $30.00 per person.

Ocean City Chamber to Hold Networking Mixer

Ocean City Beach Replenishment Project Begines

Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian announced that the long awaited beach replenishment project for the southern end of Ocean City began today. Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company , the contractor for the project, started pumping sand around 1:45 this afternoon.

Fact Sheet #3 re: Beach Replenishment Project in South End of Ocean City, NJ

Project Description:  Ocean City will receive approximately 1.6 million cubic yards of sand on approximately 2.6 miles of beach from 36th Street to 59th Street.  Ancillary work includes the construction of pedestrian crossovers and the installation of new dune fence and dune grass.  Our neighboring communities , Strathmere and Sea Isle, will also be receiving beach replenishment projects simultaneous with the work in Ocean City. The project is being overseen by the United States Army Corps of Engineers and is 100 % federally funded at a total cost of $ 57 million.  There is no local funding towards this project.

OC Exchange Club Names Don and Susan Doll Recipients of 50th Annual Golden Deeds Award

The Exchange Club of Ocean City has chosen local civic and business leaders Donald and Susan Doll as the recipients of the 50th Annual Golden Deeds Award. The honor was announced at a recent Monday night dinner meeting and resulted in a standing ovation.

Each year since 1965, the Ocean City Exchange Club has chosen a worthy   Cape May County or Atlantic County individual or group exemplifying dedication and service to children, community and country. The honoree need not be great in wealth, prestige or high in social standing, but he or she must demonstrate sacrifices and unselfish service to worthwhile causes for public good.

OC Board of Realtors Announces its Spring Golf Event

The Ocean City Board of REALTORS® announces its Spring Golf Event at the Greate Bay Golf & Country Club, on Thursday, May 14, 2015. Funds raised will benefit local high schools for scholarships and scholastic programs.

Golfers can enjoy a day of golf, which includes lunch and dinner with an awards ceremony, silent auction, raffle and more. Prizes will be awarded for tournament contests: tournament winner, runner-up, closest to the pin, hole-in-one, putting challenge, and longest drive - man & woman.

Unique to this spring tournament is the chance to sponsor a Commemorative Pin Flag that will honor graduates of Ocean City High School. The Commemorative Flag can be personalized with graduate’s name and year of graduation and after the event, sponsors will be able to take the hole flag home as a memorial.
