2019 Ocean City Historic Tour
The Ocean City Historic Tours presented by the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce are every Thursday from July 11th through August 22nd, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Tickets are $14 per person, which includes transportation by trolley and a guided tour.

2019 Farmers & Crafters Market opening June 26th
The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce Farmers & Crafters Market will have its opening day on Wednesday, June 26th. Farmers will be on the grounds of the Ocean City Tabernacle, 6th Street and Asbury Avenue and Crafters on Asbury Avenue between 5th & 6th Streets. The market will be open from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and will showcase a dozen farmers and a number of crafters with many handmade treasures and treats. Our Farmers and Crafters Market will feature a great assortment of fresh Jersey produce, fresh flowers, and fresh herbs; all from local farms. The Market will continue every Wednesday through September 4th.

OCEAN CITY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SALUTE TO WORKING WOMEN SET FOR APRIL 24th
The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce announces that Karen Bergman, Councilwoman and Director of Catering for The Flanders Hotel, will receive the 2019 Salute to Working Women Award and will be honored at the Chamber of Commerce Luncheon on April 24th at The Flanders Hotel. The award recognizes women in business for their outstanding professional and personal achievements.
Karen has been a noted leader amongst the businesses and people in Ocean City, NJ. Many got to know her when she owned and operated Nash’s News on Asbury Avenue From December 1997 through December 2004. It was through Nash’s, that Karen developed a strong passion for Asbury Avenue and the Ocean City business community.
Her love for the downtown led her to serve as an Executive Board Member for the Main Street Board, responsible for allocating funds generated to the Asbury Avenue business district from the SID tax. She also served on the Business and Neighborhood Development Board and Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce Board.
Now, Karen is the Director of Catering for the Flanders Hotel. She is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and directing all aspects of the Catering Department of the Flanders Hotel. This includes training, supervising and managing all catering associates to ensure complete guest satisfaction. She is also responsible for soliciting and booking banquet and catering functions.
Additionally, Karen serves the community as Councilwoman at Large. In 2008 Karen was elected 2nd Ward council woman and served until 2012. After taking a break for 3 years Karen was unanimously appointed Council at Large to replace Michael Allegretto, was re-elected in 2016 and 2018 and still serves today.
She has also been an Executive Board Member of the Ocean City Tourism Commission and Cape May County Chamber Board of Directors.
The luncheon will honor all working women at home or in the workforce on Wednesday, April 24th at noon at The Flanders Hotel. The luncheon is open to the public and is $25 per person. Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce was honored to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for Downtown Gillian’s in Ocean City, NJ.
The new location offers guests the opportunity to purchase holiday gifts and discounted ride tickets in downtown Ocean City. They offer Gillian’s Wonderland Pier t-shirts, long sleeve t-shirts, sweatshirts, beanie hats, baseball hats, stuffed Wonder Bears, Wonder Bear bobble heads, and the ever popular half price tickets. Need a quick gift? They have prepared gift baskets in different sizes to fit all your gift giving needs! Not sure what to get? Custom Framing and Art Professionally Designed
Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce was honored to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for Ocean City’s new custom framer SaltWorks Studio.
Owners Kristin and Chad Gallagher were surrounded by many of the special contributors who helped them get their business off the ground, as their daughters, Brynn (10) and Mia (12), did the honors of cutting the ribbon in front of their studio located at 844 Central Avenue in Ocean City.
SaltWorks Studio specializes in custom framing, mat and glass cutting, mounting and fitting, and interior design framing projects for both the home and office. They also offer unique gifts and local art. Additionally, SaltWorks offers walk-in service for turning a digital jpeg file into a timeless masterpiece that can be done as a painting, or on canvas, metal or acrylic. Their studio is showcasing great examples of what they can do with images produced from a simple smartphone or memory stick.

Ocean City Wins New Jersey’s Favorite Beach Contest Again in 2018!
For the fifth consecutive year, beachgoers chose Ocean City as "New Jersey's Favorite Beach" in a statewide poll.
Representatives of the N.J. Sea Grant Consortium announced the winners of the annual contest in a presentation on the Ocean City Music Pier on Friday afternoon.
The New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium introduced the survey in 2008 to “inspire pride in and stewardship of New Jersey’s beaches while promoting a little healthy competition between New Jersey’s favorite beach towns.”
