The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce announces that Veronica “Ronnie” Town, Senior Public Affairs Manager for Atlantic City Electric, will receive the 2012 Salute to Working Women Award and will be honored at the April 25th Chamber of Commerce Luncheon at the Ocean City Yacht Club. The award recognizes women in business for their outstanding professional and personal achievements. Michelle Dawn Mooney, News Anchor for NBC 40, will be the guest speaker for the event.

In an all out effort to convince the public that Ocean City's Doo Dah Parade is filled with unique entries, organizers have adopted a slogan for the 27th annual event. It's "Everything and the Kitchen Sink!" which they claim elevates it beyond "Everything but the Kitchen Sink" just a tad. To emphasize the claim an authentic kitchen sink will be featured in a convertible in front of the Parade supported by the City's environmental Super Hero Trash Buster and tinkling by the World's Only Wind Chimes Band.

The Ocean City Tourism Commission and the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce have again joined forces to promote “America’s Greatest Family Resort” in the Ocean City Free Family Vacation Contest. This year, the contest has been expanded to offer 11 free vacations (previously 8) through a contest. Eleven families will be awarded a fun-filled, week-long family vacation, $500 in spending money, and a gift basket filled with more than $500 of Ocean City items!
