Shriver’s Golden Ticket Giveaway is Underway

Shrivers Salt Water Taffy, an Ocean City tradition since 1898, is pleased to announce their Second Annual Golden Ticket Giveaway. Four unmarked, one pound boxes of Shriver’s Salt Water Taffy each contain a special Golden Ticket. When these tickets are found, recipients are encouraged to turn in those tickets in exchange for a Shriver’s Shopping Spree valued at $100! The four tickets are located in the boxes of Salt Water Taffy now and all are invited to participate in the second annual Golden Ticket Giveaway.

“The Golden Ticket Giveaway is our way of saying ‘Thank You’ to all our customers and making the Shriver’s experience a little more exciting for all!” explained Meryl Vangelov, President of Shrivers. “The previous program was so successful and fun for all our patrons, we had to bring it back for the summer of 2011.”

The four tickets are already placed in the lucky boxes and are either out on display currently or awaiting distribution in our warehouse. For your chance to win, visit Shrivers candy store on the Boardwalk in Ocean City, located at 9th Street or log onto and order your taffy today.

Shriver's is the oldest business on the boardwalk in Ocean City, New Jersey. In 1898 William Shriver founded Shriver's as a restaurant, ice cream, and candy store. In 1959, Shriver's was purchased by four brothers who owned Dairy Maid Confectionery Company; a retail candy and ice cream shop chain throughout Philadelphia. Today, it is owned and operated, three generations later, by the same family. The legacy of Shriver’s famous Salt Water Taffy, Fudge, and other fine confections still remains, over 100 years later.
