We are looking for a Bicycle Technician Specialist. The Pedego Bike Technician Specialist position begins by offering great customer and sales service to our clients. In this full- or part-time role, you will be responsible for an integral component of our amazing, exciting, and fun business of: Sharing the joy of the electric bicycle with the world!

Our Bike Technician Specialist is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of Pedego Electric Bikes, as well as the assembling of new bikes. Pedego Bike Technician Specialists are responsible for following Pedego’s customer service standards and communicating effectively with customers. We are looking for someone to help provide support to our multiple location operation, but also someone who shows a willingness and an eagerness to put on a sales hat and help provide that extra special customer service that makes us stand out from the competition.

Requirements:

  • Must have a strong mechanical background (required) with prior or current experience working on bicycles and/or e-bike related knowledge in a bike shop setting (very highly desired).
  • Must be able to lace wheels and perform suspension rebuilds, and manage a full-service queue.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Understands and follows oral and written instructions. Communicates clearly.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to learn and process information through our systems.
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strive to be an ambassador for a fun and healthy lifestyle.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance (highly preferred).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to lift product overhead generally weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extensive time periods; while occasionally walking, kneeling, reaching, or sitting.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees and keeps a team approach in dealing with fellow employees and customers.

Mechanical

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of bicycle mechanics, components, and tools needed to complete repairs.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and complete estimates.
  • Conduct repairs including:
    • Diagnose custom Pedego Electric Bike error codes.
    • Repair flat tires and tune wheels.
    • Bottom bracket adjustments.
    • Headset adjustments.
    • Brake adjustments.
    • Tune-ups.
    • Derailleur adjustments.
    • Complete bike builds.
  • Follow company procedures for ordering special parts and submitting warranty claims.

POSITION: SSR - (RTL-0010)

LOCATION: Ocean City, NJ

LEVEL:  N 07

BASIC FUNCTION:

(Minimum standard 60% service, 40% sales)            

Responsible for developing and maintaining personal banking relationships with new and existing customers and providing quality customer service.  This position will guide customers to purchase bank products that meet their needs and use each customer interaction as an opportunity to introduce additional products and services to broaden the relationship.  The incumbent will also be responsible for serving the bank’s customers from the teller line by completing a variety of financial transactions following technical and operational guidelines.  Time spent in various aspects of this role will vary depending upon Financial Center needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalency
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize
  • Experience in Retail Sales or Telemarketing with proven sales results
  • Strong written/verbal/organizational skills
  • Previous experience with MS Office Suite
  • Neat, professional appearance following established guidelines for appropriate dress
  • Successful completion of the following programs within 12 months of hire:
    • SSR training and certification
    • Consumer Loans training and certification
    • Teller training and certification
    • Univest University’s “Pre-Supervisor” Certificate Program

BRANCH HOURS:

  • Monday - Friday: 9 am – 5 pm
  • Saturday: 9 am – 1 pm (Memorial Day through Labor Day; 2-3 per month are required)

POSITION INCLUDES:

  • Provide friendly, courteous, professional customer service
  • Perform all teller and platform transactions promptly, efficiently, and accurately
  • Adhere to all procedures including operational and corporate customer service guidelines
  • Ability to operate required technology and applicable software on equipment including but not limited to computers, cash recyclers, iPads, ATMs, etc.
  • Identify customer needs and cross sell opportunities to develop new business
  • Engage in outbound calling to customers
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of Univest Products and Services
  • Leverage bank promotions
  • Adhere to outlined sales flow
  • Learn and become proficient in daily operational procedures
  • Actively participate in branch activities, development and training programs
