Eagles star Vinny Curry Brings Youth Football Camp to O.C. on June 22

The Music Pier will come to life this weekend with the rich colors and aromas of the 47th annual Ocean City Flower Show. The show features artistic arrangements in a wide variety of categories. Commercial, amateur and kids’ entries compete for honors.
Show times are 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday (May 31), 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday (June 1), and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday (June 2). A sales pavilion will be open during the same hours. The show is sponsored by the Garden Club of Ocean City, and voluntary donations will be accepted at the door.
Displays fall into artistic design and horticulture divisions, and orchids, roses, succulents, potted plants, holiday-themed displays, wreaths and table exhibits are just a small sampling of the many featured classes.

Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Vinny Curry will hold a free one-day football camp for youth in kindergarten through eighth grade. The camp will be run noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 22 on the field at Carey Stadium (Sixth Street and Boardwalk).
After a year in Tampa Bay, Curry is back with the Eagles for the 2019 season. This will be his fourth Youth Football Camp. The program focuses on football fundamentals and is an opportunity for the New Jersey native to give back to the community.

DOGGIE DIP AND BATHE TO SAVE ON SUNDAY
The Humane Society of Ocean City will hold a fundraiser 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 2 on the beach and boardwalk between Fifth Street and Sixth Street. The Doggie Dip and Bathe to Save will invite dogs to take a dip in the ocean and then wash off with a special truck providing water on the boardwalk.
The event provides a brief exception to the local ordinances that prohibit dogs on the boardwalk and on the beach at this time of year. Entry is a $20 donation per dog, and a registration form is available at hsocnj.org/events.
All proceeds and donations go toward helping to house, care for, and enrich the lives of animals waiting to find permanent homes.
